Oregon City Historical Places |
One of the most historical
sights in Oregon City is the McLaughlin House. Mclaughlin was one of the
heads of the Hudson Bay Fur Company. He came to Oregon and helped establish
Oregon City become the capital of Oregon. The was finished in 1846. He
lived there until his death in 1857. The house was moved atop of the bluff
to a public park in 1909. The home opened as a museum in 1910. |
